Star Wars Trilogy Ultimate Supplemental DVD Collection

LucasFilm finally caved into fan demand and released the true, original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD in September 2006. This collection goes far beyond any official release and presents you with all the pre-SE supplement content one could hope for! None of the included DVDs deal with the prequels or SE versions of the originals, and this collection does NOT include the films themselves. Check out the content:

When Star Wars Ruled the World VH-1 Special
Take a trip back to when Star Wars ruled the world in this 2004 VH-1 Special. Relive the incredible and unlikely impact of the first Star Wars movie, the sudden fame of unknowns like Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, and the way fans around the world fell in love with the movie and the massive amount of merchandise that followed. The show also chronicles the immense anticipation for the first Star Wars sequel, The Empire Strikes Back and the build-up to the climactic Return of the Jedi that had fans traveling hundreds of miles to visit the gates of the movie's set. Also included are new interviews and lots of extra goodies.

This documentary features a melding of deleted footage, commentary and new insights into the history of the deleted shots that never made it into the final cuts.

Building Empire by Jambe Davdar
A fan documentary that examines the filming stages of The Empire Strikes Back. This film combines clips from the movie with on screen information, along with audio commentary from the creators when appropriate. A number of different sources were used, and serves as a milestone in detailed examination of the inner workings of filming. Please note this DVD is in PAL format, and may not play on a standard NTSC DVD player. It will play in a PC/MAC or PAL capable DVD player.

Returning to Jedi by Jambe Davdar
The newest fan documentary by JD delves into the creation of Ep VI, Return of the Jedi. This documentary combines clips from the movie with on screen information, along with audio commentary from the creators when appropriate. Over 100 different sources were used, and serves as another milestone in detailed examination of the inner workings of film creation. Please note this DVD is also in PAL format, and may not play on a standard NTSC DVD player. It will play in a PC/MAC or PAL capable DVD player.
