This is an Authentic Lucky Horseshoe that has traveled countless miles on a horse's
hoof in the rugged Rocky Mountains of the American West.
Each shoe is heated by a blacksmith in a forge, brushed to remove dirt and then treated with special oil for a rich, steel-black finish.
Protruding nails have been removed but the odd nail head might remain as a special bonus!
Each shoe is very
different: it shows the individual shape of the hoof that it came from and has unique wear marks that give clues to the terrain over which the horse traveled and the particular way in which the horse moved.

to describe how horseshoes are made, how they are sized and provides nuggets of history and mystery surrounding horseshoes.
