When you take a close look at the New Alpine Tundra Series youll see we have built these bows around a slick new concept. The Tundra Series riser is modular. Modular construction permits the building of parallel limb bows, which normally have very long risers, at a considerable cost savings. Risers machined from a solid billet for parallel limb bows have a considerable amount of material waste and very long machining cycles, driving the cost up. The other option is to build the riser from
an extrusion. Extrusions, however, tend to twist and warp through the extruding and heat treating process. Alpines solution for building the new Tundra Series bows is to build the riser from individual components. We start by machining the individual components to very precise tolerances. Then we assemble the components using heat treated dowel pins for perfect alignment and Loctite all the fasteners used in the assembly of the riser unit.
