This DVD contains very rare coverage of the May 1972 shooting of Governor George Wallace in Maryland. The first half hour is the Evening News with Walter Cronkite on 5/15/72, whose lead story was the shooting, and you see it from very close and from several angles, and even in slow motion. This complete newscast with original commercials is in excellent black and white.
Then, you get the complete Today Show from 7am-9am the morning of the next day, 5/16/72, where Frank McGee, Frank Blair and Barbara Walters provide up-to-date coverage of the situation and show more replays of the shooting. This show is in BEAUTIFUL COLOR and is in excellent condition. Awesome stuff ! |
